Report of Actions
Call
to Order– Bernice Scott, Committee Chair, called the
meeting to order.
Approval
of Minutes – The minutes of the July 19, 2000 Regular Session Meeting were
approved as submitted.
Adoption
of Agenda - The agenda was amended by removing item (C), Storm Water Management
Ordinance Amendment and deferring item (F), Petition to Close Vahalla Drive,
to the October Development and Services Committee meeting. The agenda was adopted
as amended.
Items
for Action - Items A, D, E, and H were placed on the consent agenda.
- Adoption
of New Ordinance: GIS Data Management – The Committee recommended that
Council give first reading approval to the proposed GIS Data Management Ordinance.
- Amendments
to the Richland County Code: Commercial Uses in Rural Zones – The Committee
forwarded this item to Council without recommendation.
- Award of
Contract: NPDES Permit Implementation - The Committee recommended that
Council approve the award of contracts to Ogden Environmental and Engineering
Services for the implementation of the NPDES permit and to Woolpert LLP for
inventory and mapping of the County’s stormwater outfall system. The Committee
specified that the recommendation was contingent upon review of the contracts
and purchase orders by the Legal Department.
- Approval
of Quit Claim Deed for Arlene Drive - The Committee recommended that Council
give first reading approval to a quit claim deed for the abandoned portion
of Arlene Drive.
- Directive
to Proceed with Sease Road Construction Project – The Committee recommended
that Council approve the right-of-way acquisition and railroad agreement necessary
to proceed with the Sease Road construction project pending a review by the
Legal Department regarding the right-of-way acquisition and railroad agreement.
- Award of
Contract: Phase II of the Atlas Road Sewer Project – The Committee recommended
that Council approve the award of contract to Trussell Brothers Construction,
Inc. in the amount of $775,877.00 for the implementation of Phase II of the
Atlas Road Sewer Project.
